This Sunday, the Homesown stall will be at Sofacoma Market, Lake St with healthy plants and lovely flowers all grown on Oxford’s doorstep in peat free compost using an organic approach. Deliveries this week can be arranged for Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th May.
Flowers


The garden seems to be speeding into early Summer and the tulips are making way for the ranunculus, fragrant sweet rocket, cornflowers and geums. There will be a small selection of flower jars and bunches at the market, but please pre-order if you know you would like one as the plot hasn’t swung into full production yet.

Tomato Plants: £1.80 each
All the tomato plants are in 9cm pots of peat free compost and are cordon varieties which need to have their side shoots removed and to be tied to a support as they grow. They have all been chosen for their excellent flavour and the fact they can all be grown outside.
Sungold: an orange cherry this is one of the sweetest and delicious tomatoes ever.
Gardener’s Delight: a red cherry tomato which is a reliable old favourite with great flavour.
Black Krim: a large, beefsteak tomato with the most amazing flavour.
Stupicke Polni Rane: a medium sized tomato which tastes very good and is bred to have blight resistance which makes it very suitable for growing outdoors.



Courgettes in 9cm pots £2.00: green varieties, Defender and Romanesco and yellow variety, Gold Rush.
Flowering Plants:
There will be a selection of annuals including Cosmos Rubenza, sunflowers, pink chinese forget me nots as well as some perennials. Annuals start at £1.00 a 7cm pot and perennials at £2.50 a 9cm pot.
